Recently in Digitech we were given an assignment to use an app Photoshop in three different ways. Our first task was to use photoshop to add lines to outline and emphasise our facial features. As well has just have fun using lines. The next assignment was to use layers. Layers is adding images on top of each other. Usually the first layer is the background, which is how I started mine as well. The theme I chose was an astronaut in space being chased by an alien so the background was an image of the galaxy. Next came the astronaut, which was me, the layer applied after the background was my face, which you can slightly see behind the helmet for the suit which was added on top. After that I added and arranged the suit under the helmet and put the alien in the top right of the image. Lastly we were assigned to use any effect we wanted. For this task I used a variety of effects and tools. One of the them was a feathering tool, I used this tool to highlight my face. Another tool I used was the Bevel and Emboss effect to emphasis the detail of the paint stroke as well as adjusting the texture depth. As you can see the theme was purple, as it is my favourite colour. So that was what was our first few assignments for Digital Technology.
